Jabez S. Reynolds enlisted as a Private in Company C, 46th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 01 April 1864 at the age of 17. He was hospitalized on 04 July 1864 at Chimborazo Hospl, Richmond, VA (With measles) and reported as sick on 15 August 1864. He returned to duty on 15 February 1865 but was taken POW on 06 April 1865 at Farmville, VA. Unfortunately he died of disease while a POW Company C, 46th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 10 May 1865 in Newport News, VA another victim of Northern aggresion. His physical description was:
