Obituary for Frank G. Conrad
JOHNSTOWN [New York]: Mr. Frank G. Conrad, 86, of 7 O'Neil Avenue, Johnstown, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Frank G. and Elsie Griffith Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was a graduate of Collingdale (Pennsylvania) High School, and attended Drexel Institute. He was employed by General Electric Switch Gear Division in Philadelphia, the Scott Paper Company Engineering Division, Philadelphia, Georgia - Pacific Paper Division, Plattsburgh, and Mohasco Company Engineering Division, Amsterdam, retiring in 1981.
Upon retirement, he established a machine design consulting business, working primarily for Quick Cast in Plattsburgh [New York].
Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife, Ruth S. Conrad; a son, Paul Conrad; and two granddaughters.
Mr. Conrad made an anatomical gift to the Albany Medical College .
There will be no funeral services or calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Brennan Humane Society.
