bullet  Research Notes:

This individual, his wife, and family were documented by Rosalie Sommer of York Co., PA in 2002. This researcer came across her work in June 2007 and exchanged many emails and documents. The initial contact revolved around George Cremer/Cramer, of Cumberland Co., PA. This researcher had found a cemetery record for a Geroge Cramer who died in Lower Allen Township, Cumebrland Co., PA in 1853 in Monroe Graveyard. In the graveyard were his daughter, Elizabeth, and many of the Paul and Elizabeth Gehr family. This researcher speculated that Elizabeth was perhaps "family" ... perhaps a sister. Using that assumption, this researcher made contact with fellow Cramer/Cremer researcher, Rosalie Sommer of York Co., PA. She has done extensive work over the previous decade and somes up much of her work, published at ancestry.com, wit the following:

Two Cramer [Krämer] lines settling in York County, Pennsylvania from Germany are represented here. Family #1-the family of Johann Daniel Friedrich Cramer came from Rommelshausen, Weurttenberg. Arriving in Philadelphia were three of his sons, Daniel, John Helfer & Lorenz. Daniel arrived 26 September 1752 on Ship Richard & Mary. Johann Helfer & Lorenz arrived 1 October 1754 on the ship Phoenix. Family #2-Hans Adam Cramer family from Essenheim, Rheinhessen, Hessen to Philadelphia on ship Pennsylvania Merchant 10 Sept 1731.

Another York Co. researcher, Keith A. Dull, has published the following:
Early German Settlers of York Co., Pennsylvania.
This book documents, among others, the Cramer family up to ca 1800 and is in agreement with the work of Rosalie Sommer. This researcher has enabled a connection with the George Cremer (1791-1853) Family of Cumberland to these families of York County.
