ANDOVER, MA Evelyn Wolf Kapp, 97, formerly of Glen Rock and Shrewsbury, died Sunday December 28, 2008, at the home where she lived since June. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Kapp. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Kapp was born on October 11, 1911, in Shrewsbury Township, a daughter of the late J. Frank and Sarah (Shearer) Wolf. She was a homemaker for most of her life and had been employed as a cafeteria employee at the former Glen Rock Elementary School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock and lived in Glen Rock prior to moving to the Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Community in 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Karen S. Wilson of Andover, Mass.; a son, Thomas W. Kapp of Tuckasegee, N.C.; three grandchildren; and 12 step-grandchildren. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 47 Hanover Street, Glen Rock, Pa 17327; or to the Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village, 800 Bollinger Road, Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
Evelyn married Henry W. Kapp, son of Martin L. Kapp and Mary Naomi Diehl. (Henry W. Kapp was born circa 1915 in Glen Rock Borough, York Co., PA and died after 1930 in Glen Rock Borough, York Co., PA.)
