(5 - VA), Emma I. (3 - VA), and Ida M. (0 - VA) living with Abel's mother Mary Williams (83 - VA). Mary has real estate valued at $1,600 and a personal estate valued at $300. Abel has a personal estate valued at $150. Also in the household are 2 women: Angeline L. Williams (26 - VA) and Princess Williams (10 - VA).

The 1880 Federal Census for New Bethel, Rockingham Co., N.C., District 231, dated June 1, 1880, page 87B records Abel L. (60 - NC/NC/VA) and Susan E. (40 - NC/NC/NC) Williams with children James (14 - NC/NC/NC), Emma D. (13 - NC/NC/NC), Ida (10 - NC/NC/NC), Angeline (10 - NC/NC/NC), Walter (5 - NC/NC/NC), and Jasper (1 - NC/NC/NC).
