Fell out of a boat and drowned in the OH river near Louisville. Buried in New Albany, IN.
This John Pomfret Webb is written about in "Our Webb Kin of Dixie" and indexed as E42 on page 45. On page 67 he is said to be a grandson; however, he is a great grandson of John Pomfret.

... E45 is Mary Ann Amy Webb, Johm Pomfret Webb's sister. She married John Pomfret Blackwell Sr. [John Pomfret > Francis Pomfret > William Blackwell > John Pomfret Blackwell Sr.]
Francis Pomfret and Amy Pomfret are sisters and the Pomfret name goes to ancillary lines.
