\emdash Charles Daughtrey
LENOX: Charles Daughtrey, 77, of Lenox, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at Tift Healthcare.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lenox Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Staunton Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Robinson and the Rev. Lamar Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Mr. Daughtrey was born on Nov. 1, 1928, in Cook County and lived most of his life there. He was the son of Tom Parker Daughtrey and Laura Kathryn Atkinson Daughtrey, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Daughtrey.
He was a retired farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Head Daughtrey of Lenox; a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Terri Daughtrey of Tifton; grandchildren Sarah Kathryn Daughtrey, Mary Parker Daughtrey and Tillman Daughtrey, all of Tifton; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Thelma Daughtrey of Lenox; a sister-in-law, Jackie Daughtrey of Lenox; and a special friend, Murray Fender.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lenox Baptist Church Building Fund or the Epilepsy Foundation, 4351 Garden City Drive, Landover, MD 20785.
Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
