Amanda is a Seamstress while Edward is an Upholster and Ellie a Paperbox Maker. Note: Amanda can be found in the 1860 Federal Census for Lancaster at age 20 with her husband, George Gorrecht (31 - PA), and daughter Ella (22). George is a Carpenter.

Gorrecht (June 1860 - PA/PA/PA), in the home of his grand mother, the widow Amanda M. Gorrecht (Aug 1840 - PA/PA/PA) at 341 North Mulberry Street. Amanda runs a boarding house while Edwin is an Upholster (carpet). Amanda has had 3 children of whom only 1 survives.

The 1910 Federal Census for York Ward 9, York Co., Pennsylvania, District 125, page 31B, dated April 22, 1910 records Merle R. Gorrecht (19 - PA/PA/PA) boarding in the home of Samuel (75) and Margaret J. (68) Worner. Merle is a Machinist in a Machine Shop.
