REIDSVILLE - Verly Massey Coleman, 75, of 431 Bell Road, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Greensboro.
A native of Caswell County, she was a daughter of the late Robbie and Ethel Page Massey and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life. She was a former employee of Glen Raven Mills in Altamahaw and was a retired employee of Burlington Industries at the Reidsville Drapery Plant. After retirement, she worked part time at Roses Department Store. She was of Primitive Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Rainey and a brother, Felton Massey.
She is survived by her husband, Hayward F. Coleman of the home; daughter, Wanda C. Vitagliano and husband Arthur of Tybee Island, Ga.; two grandchildren, Scotty Sykes and wife Heather and Steven Sykes and wife Melanie, all of Reidsville; three great-grandchildren, Noah Sykes, Mariah Sykes and Maleah Sykes; three brothers, Wayne Massey and wife Nancy and J.R. Massey and wife Sylvia, all of Burlington, and Wallace Massey and wife Ilene of Reidsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Berea Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will see friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.

Verly married Hayward Franklin Coleman, son of Edgar Reed (Eddie) Coleman and Flossie Mary Pickeral (Pickrell). (Hayward Franklin Coleman was born in 1930 in Alamance Co., NC and died after Feb 2009 in Reidsvile, Rockingham Co., NC.)
