The 1860 Federal Census for Polk Township, Dade Co., Missouri, page 73, dated July 9, 1860 records Willis E. Jerome (10 - Missouri) living with his parents Willis E. (59 - Connecticut) and Sarah M. (50 - Ohio) and siblings Sarah J. (Indiana), Ira O. (17 - Missouri), Mary E. (14 - Missouri), and Francis M. (7 - Missouri). Two of Willis' sons, Edward N. Jerome (24 - Ohio) and Richard Jerome (28 - Ohio) and their families are living nearby.

By 1870 Willis has moved to Henry Co., Missouri with his brother Edward although he is still listed in the household of his parents in Dade Co., Missouri.

The 1880 Federal Census for Windsor, Henry Co., Missouri, District 178, page 440A, dated June 15, 1880 records Willis (30 - Missouri/Massachusetts/Ohio) and Sallie (26 - NC/NC/NC) Jerome with their children Minnie (6 - Missouri), Harry (3 - Missouri), and Carl (2 - Missouri).

The 1900 Federal Census for Post Oak Township, Henry Co., Missouri, District 113, page 155A, dated June 7, 1900 records the farmer Willis E. (April 1850 - Missouri/KY/Ohio) and Sallie (January 1854 - Missouri/Connecticut/Ohio) Jerome with their children Minnie B. (June 1874 - Missouri), Harry W. (Dec 1876 - Missouri), Newton C. (Aug 1878 - Missouri), Frank R. (Aept 1880 - Missouri), Nellie G. (Jan 1883 - Missouri), James M. (July 1886 - Missouri), Mary A. (Nov 1888 - Missouri), and Aimee E. (Aug 1893 - Missouri). Willis and Sallie have been married for 27 years and have had 8 children all of whom are still living.


From Missouri Death Certificates:
Their daughter, Aimee Elson Jerome, died at age 16 on December 28, 1910 and is buried in Chilhowie Cemetery. She was born on August 15, 1893
