Franklin / Carrsville - Age 42, well-known resident of the Carrsville community, died in Louise Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Wednesday, February 18, 1953 at 6:30 am. She is the daughter of O.M. BABB and MAGGIE SCOTT BABB of Isle of Wight County and was a member of the South Quay Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband JOSEPH JAMES BENNETT of Carrsville; a daughter, MARY BERTHAT BENNETT and a son, JOSEPH WARREN BENNETT, both of Carrsville and a sister, Mrs. SHIRLEY MAE DUCK of Carrsville. Funeral services will be conducted from the Holland Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 19, 1953 at 2:30 pm by the Rev EDWARD THORNTON, pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Franklin. Pallbearers: CLAYTON DARDEN, MELVIN SPIVEY, DENNIE DUCK, W.O. CARR, EDWARD LANKFORD, EDWARD DARDEN, J.P. CARR and WILSON MILES.
