The 1910 Federal Census for Monmouth, Jackson Co., Iowa, District 67, page 160B, dated April 20, 1910 records Howard R. (29 - Iowa/Iowa/US) and Tressa (25 - Iowa/PA/Iowa) Miller. Howard is a Druggist and has been married to Tressa for 2 years.

The 1925 Iowa State Census records Howard R. Miller (44) living with his wife Tressa (40) and mother-in-law Nellie Shirk (65) in Jackson Co., Iowa. This census record names Howard's parents as Dave Miller and A Bonck; Tressie's parents as Sam Shirk and Nellie Chandler; and Nellis' parents as Case Chandler and Dellia Dean.

Tressa I. Miller

Graveside services for Tressa I. Miller, 96, Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. Don Crawford of the Assembly of God Church, Maquoketa will officiate. Mrs. Miller died Thursday, Feb. 5 at Crestridge, Inc. Haylock-O'Hara & Kedley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Tressa Miller was born Jan. 24, 1885 in Eagle Grove to Sam and Nellie Chandler Shirk. She married Howard Miller April 15, 1908 in Monmouth. She was a graduate of Monmouth High School and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Theresa married Howard Ralph Miller on 15 Apr 1908 in Monmouth, Jackson Co., Iowa. (Howard Ralph Miller was born on 26 Dec 1880 in Delaware Co., Iowa and died circa 1928 in Maquoketa, Jackson Co., Iowa.)
