Obituary for Mary J. ''Jackie'' Doughtie:
Mary J. ''Jackie'' Doughtie, 81, of the 400 block of Baldwin St., died Aug. 28, 2001, in a local hospital.
Born in Cedarville, Va., she was the widow of Charles A. Doughtie Jr. and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Doughtie was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Lynnhaven Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Michael Doughtie and wife Alexis of Virginia Beach and Robert Ellis Jackson of Berryville, Va.; two sisters, Kathleen Faulconer of Front Royal, Va. and Nellie Longerbeam of Millville, W.Va.; four brothers, Robert Morrison, Francis Morrison and Charles Morrison, all of Front Royal and Harvey Morrison of Boiling Springs, Pa.; a grandchild, Sarah A. Doughtie of Virginia Beach; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Mabel Henry.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Pastor Jess Jackson with burial in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
