Funeral services for Willie Mae Griffin, 88 of Winnsboro, LA will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Gill Chapel with Rev. Hank Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Start Cemetey under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 5:00 Pm to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Willie Mae was born to the union of her parents George and Minnie Harvey Taylor on October 4, 1919 in Start, LA and passed from this life December 3, 2007 at the Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, LA. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Winnsboro First United Methodist Church. She loved gardening and working with flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eugene H. Griffin and one brother Charles H. Taylor.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughter: Cherie Bach of Raeford, NC; two sons; W. Eugene "Gene" Griffin of Cathedral City, CA and Ricky Griffin of Winnsboro, LA. One brother: Richard H. Taylor and wife Mary od Start, LA. Seven Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Willie married Eugene H. Griffin. (Eugene H. Griffin was born on 3 Jun 1908, died on 19 Mar 1990 and was buried in Start Cemetery, Start, Richland Parish, Louisana.)
