She was born in Spotsylvania County, Virginia to the late Louis E. and Kate Smith Louvett and was the loving wife of the late Zenas Post Roberts, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Edward Roberts; three brothers, Willie E, Louis and Lloyd Earl Louvett. She and her husband raised their family in South Norfolk where she became a member of the South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, was a member of the Dorcas Bible Class and the Gertrude Bunch Circle. After twenty eight years of service she retired as a secretary with Froehling and Robertson Inspection Engineers and Chemist. She was also a member of the South Norfolk Rebecca Lodge, Daughters of America and the Ladies Auxiliary of the South Norfolk Fire Department. She is survived by two daughters, Josephine Styron, Kaye Martin and her husband, David; two sons, Zenas Post Roberts, III and his wife, Joan, and Jimmy Ray Roberts and his wife, Sandy; daughter-in-law, Betty Roberts; three grandchildren, Donna Baker and her husband, Richard, David Martin, II and his wife Paulette and Zenas P. Charlie Roberts, IV and his partner, Joanne; six great-grandchildren, Richard E. Baker, II, Barney Baker and his fianc, Claudia, Erick Baker and his wife, Allison, Kevin Baker, Alexis Martin and David Martin, III; two great great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Alicia Baker; sister-in laws, Marie Louvett and Shirley Louvett. A service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home with Pastor Amos Eby officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 pm and all other times at her residence.
