COATESVILLE, PA. - William F. (Bill) Lewis, 65, of Coatesville, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at home. He was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Caroline County, Va., to the late Rev. John Joshua Lewis and Pearl R. Jeter Lewis. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Clare Walker High School in Saluda, Va., and was a self-employed contractor specializing in additions and renovations. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Downingtown, Pa. Bill was an avid Streetrod enthusiast and member of the National Street Rod Association. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Vaughan - Lewis of Coatesville, Pa.; sons, Troy Lewis of New Jersey and Benjamin Meredith of Virginia; daughters, Bridgette Lewis Houston of Virginia, Nikki Meredith Freeland and Jennifer Lewis Nast, both of Pennsylvania, and Allyn Meredith of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; brother, Michael Lewis of Virginia; and sisters, Virginia Lewis Muse, Faye Lewis Beverly and Portia Lewis Johnson, all of Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, Downingtown, Pa. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in Vaughan Family Cemetery, Chester, Va. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Hopewell United Methodist Church.
