Floyd is a Book Keeper for a Coal Mine and reports his age at first marriage as 22. Thelma reports her age at first marriage as 17.

The 1940 Federal Census for Clear Fork Township, Pocohontas, Tazewell Co., VA, District 93-3, page 54B, dated April 13, 1940 records Randolph D. (24 - VA) and Geraldine (23 - VA) Wagner. Both Randolph and Geraldine have completed 4 years of high and Randolph is employed as a Book Keeper for a Retail Store earning $1,200 working 52 weeks last year. On April 1, 1935 Randolph was living at this same address while Geraldine was living in Bluefield, Mercer Co., WV.
