Lucy Mae (Berkebile) Grasser, 92, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2008, at Manor Care Health Services. Born March 8, 1915, in Hooversville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Gideon Homer and Carrie Jane (Lohr) Berkebile. Mrs. Grasser was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Leo Grasser.

Mrs. Grasser was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Lancaster and also the Park City Twalkers.
Mrs. Grasser is survived by a son: Leo C., husband of Ruth N. Grasser of Lancaster; a daughter: Janet M., wife of David E. Roth of Lancaster; a sister: Marian L. Englert of Lancaster; a brother: Robert J., husband of Wanda Berkebile of Waldorf, MD; two grandchildren: Robert C., husband of Beryl Grasser and Julie A., wife of Lenny Groft; and four great grandchildren: Joshua Grasser, Jacob Grasser, Drew Groft, and Austin Groft. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grasser was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Berkebile, and a sister, Ona Alexander.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 North Duke Street, Lancaster. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Conestoga Memorial Park. Ona married Glenn E. Alexander, son of Roy Elsworth Alexander and Elizabeth Bell (Lizzie) Karr. (Glenn E. Alexander was born on 1 Apr 1929 in Martic Township, Lancaster Co., PA and died on 27 Aug 2007 in Lancaster City, Lancaster Co., PA.)
