(35 - Canada/Canada/Canada) and Carabelle (32 - Georgia/VA/KY) Coulter and brother Norman A. Jr. (10 - Georgia) living at 144 Inglewood Drive. Norman Sr. has real estate valued at $16,500 and has been married for 12 years. Norman immigrated in 1910. The brother's name, Norman A. Jr., is consistent with the obituary as is the father's occupation, Merchant for Contracting Supplies, which implies a connection to the Lumber business of the Hodges family of Roanoke.
The 1920 Federal Census for Atlanta, Fulton Co., Georga, District 139 records a Norman A. (25 - Canada/Canada/Canada) and Carabelle (26 - Georgia/Georgia/Georgia) Coulter renting at 322 Lake Avenue. Norman is working for a concrete Mixer and indicates that he immigrated in 1910.
The WWI Draft Registration Card for Norman A. Coulter dated June 5, 1917 records his date of birth as Aug 26, 1895 in Port Robinson, Ontario, Canada. He is single and currently working as a draftsman at the Corrugated Bar Co. in Atlanta, GA. His physical description is medium, height and stout build with blue eyes and red hair.
The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Norman Arthur Coulter dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as August 26, 1894 in Port Robinson, Ontario, Canada. He is living with his wife, Carabelle Coulter, at 1134 Market Street, Harisburg, Dauphin Co., PA. He the owner of his own business in Contruction Equipment located at the same address. His physical description is recorded as "negro" 5' 6", 115 lbs with black eyes, black hair and black complexion. [This description is a bit puzzling in that it is not consistent with any other records. It is possible this page of the recordd is misfiled.]

The family's race is listed as "Scotch" and will live at 819 Gelwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY. The nearest relative is a aunt, Mrs. Annie Luney of 457 Girard Street, Toronto, Canada. Norman is born is Port Robinson and is 16 years old, 5' 8" with fair complexion, red hair, and brown eyes. The record for his sister, Blanche, is the same with her description as 18 years old, 5' 9 1/2", brown hair, and gray eyes. The record for his mother, Margaret is the same with her description as 49 years old, born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, 5' 6", brown hair, and gray eyes. Mrs. Annie Luny (sic) is listed as her sister.
