The 1880 Federal Census for Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania, District 196 records Paul Sence (34 - Wurtenburg/Wurtenburg/Wurtenburg) with his wife Mary Sence (27 - PA/Wurtenburg/Wurtenburg) and children Maggie Sence (12), Tillie Sence (6), Mary Sence (5), William Sence (4), and Edward Sence (5). Next door is the widow Teney Golden (63 - Wurtenburg) with her son Mathias (27 - PA). Both Paul and Mathias are Coal Miners.

The 1900 Federal Census for Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania, District 75 records Paul Sence (June 1843 - Germany/Germany/Germany) with his wife Mary Sence (Feb 1850 - PA/Germany/Germany) and children William Sence (May 1877), Edward T. Sence (June 1880), Jennie (Jan 1883), Charles Sence (April 1885), and John (July 1888). Next door is Mathias Golder (July 1848 - PA) with his wife of 20 years, Maggie (March 1845). Both Paul and Mathias are Coal Miners. Paul and Mary indicate that they have been married for 35 years and have had 11 children of which 8 are still living. However, Paul also indicates that he immigrated to the USA in 1875.

ANNA SINZ: OBITUARIES [Anna Maria Sinz]
Mrs. Thomas Shannon
Mrs. Anna Shannon, 92, of 1224 Shehy Street, died of a coronary thrombosis at 2:45 a.m. Sunday in North Side Hospital following a day's illness.
Mrs. Shannon was born May 4, 1874 in Red Bank, PA, a daughter of Paul and Mary Golder Sinz, and came to Youngstown 50 years ago from Butler, Pa. she was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Her Husband, Thomas, to whom she was married in 1899, died in 1930.
She leaves three sons, John, William, and Thomas, and Two daughters, Miss Pauline Shannon and Mrs. Ralph Kelly, all of Youngstown; two brothers, Charles and John Sinz, both of Butler, and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home.
