(47 - PA/PA/PA) Ache with their children Walter H. (24), Edith M. (20), Florence E. (16), Arthur (13), and Dorothy E. (6) living at 613 Moss Street. Charles is a Painter in a Paper Store and has been married to Carrie for 27 years.

The 1920 Federal Census for Reading City, Ward 12, Berks Co., Pennsylvania, District 99, page 65A, dated January 5, 1920 records Charles (46 - PA/PA/PA) and Carrie L. (38 - PA/PA/PA) Ache with their children Walter W. (14), Earl W. (12), Edith M. (10), Florence E. (6), and Arthur F. (3 0/12) living at 613 Moss Street. Charles is a House Painter.


The 1900 Federal Census for Reading City, Ward 12, Berks Co., Pennsylvania, District 90, page 142A, dated June 14, 1900 records Charles Ache (May 1874 - PA/PA/PA) living with his parents William W. (Feb 1848) and Emma (Feb 1852 - PA/PA/PA) Ache. Both William and Charles are employed as Painters. William and Emma have been married for 28 years and have had 1 child.

The 1880 Federal Census for Reading City, Ward 2, Berks Co., Pennsylvania, District 41, page 60B, dated June 8, 1880 records Charles Ache (6 - PA/PA/PA) living with his parents William W. (31) and Emma (26 - PA/PA/PA) Achey (sic) living on Orange Street. William is employed as a Painter. Charles is listed as having Measles.

The Sept 15, 1985 edition of the Reading Eagle reported the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Mr & Mrs Walter W. Ache, Shillington. A photo of the couple was included:
Mr & Mrs Walter W. Ache, 145 E Elm St., Shillington, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner given by their children at the Colonial Motor Lodge, Denver.
They were married Sept 14, 1935, in St John's Lutheran Church by the Reb Robert E Ischinger.
Ache, the son of the late Charle and Carrie (Meitzler) Ache, is retired from the Metropolitan Edison Co., where he was credit manager.
His wife, Evelyn V., is a daughter of Max J. and Anna C. (Eichner) Bauer.
They are parents to two children, Dr. Elaine R. (Takahaski) Ache, Harworth, N J, and Dr. Barry W. Ache, Ormaond Beach, Fla. They have four grand children.

Charles married Carrie Lea Meitzler in 1903 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. (Carrie Lea Meitzler was born in May 1882 in Catasauqua, Whitehall Township, Lehigh Co., PA and died circa 1940 in Reading, Berks Co., PA.)
