The 1890 Soldier, Sailor, and Marine Vererans and Widows Schedule records Lorenzo M. Light living in the Cave Spring District of Roanoke Co., VA. He served as a private in Company G of the 13th West Virginia Infantry from Dec 1, 1863 to May 25, 1865.
The 1880 Federal Census for Elk District, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, District 51, page 257A records Lorenzo M. (35 - VA/VA/VA) and Emily F. (35 - VA/VA/VA) Light with children Magdalene (11 - WV), Joseph H. (9 - WV), Eliza C. (7 - WV), David F. (6), and William A. (3 - WV). Lorenzo is a farmer.

Light, applied for a widow's pension in 1915.
