The 1910 Federal Census for Carroll Township, Perry Co., PA, District 126, page 24B records David (61) and Mariah (64) McAllister (sic) with their children Christian (21), and Ester V. (26). David and Mariah have been married for 43 years and have had 11 children of whom 9 are still living. Nearby is David's sister, Mariah [McCallister] Goudy, living with her daughter, Susan [Goudy] Hill and her family.

The 1920 Federal Census for Carroll Township, Perry Co., PA, District 135, page 33B records the widower David McCalister (sic) (69) living with his daughter, Ester V. Kurtz (31) and her husband Jonas S. Kurtz (31) and their daughter Mary E. Kurtz (1 8/12).

Mary E. McAlister (sic), daughter of David and Maria, died in 1904: Mary, daughter of David McAlister and wife, died at her home in Carroll township, on the (looks like 29th) ult., aged 23 years 6 months and 5 days. Interment at Young's Church graveyard on Thursday.

David married Maria circa 1869 in Carroll Township, Perry Co., PA. (Maria was born in Apr 1846 in Pennsylvania and died after 1910 in Carroll Township, Perry Co., PA.)
