The 1900 Federal Census for Big Creek Township, Black Hawk Co., Iowa, District 3, page 35A records Emma Stahnke (Aug 1872 - Wisconsin/Ger/Ger) with her husband August Stahnke (May 1863 - Ger/Ger/Ger) and their children Eva L. (Sept 1897. Emma and August have been married for 8 years and have had 2 children of whom just 1 is still living. They are living next door to Emma's brother, Jacob Paul (June 1876)
