The 1910 Federal Census for Nansemond Co., Va., ED 13, visit 31, lists the Brock Jones (age 44) family with wife Selma R. and children.

The 1920 Federal Census for Newport District of Isle of Wight Co., Va. lists a Brock Jones (age 54) family living on Battery Park. However, the wife is listed as Annie (45) with children Martha (18) and Jennett (4). This is probably Joseph Brock Jones and not Brock Darden Jones. The 1920 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., Va., District 18 records Broch[k] D. Jones (54) with wife Selma (41) and children Adelia (15), Darden (14), Brock Jr. (12), Mary R. (11), Elijah (10), James C. (7), Selma G. (4 8/12), and William T. (2 4/12) living on the South Quay & Holy Neck Road.

The 1930 Federal Census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co., Va., District 8 records the Broo[c]k Jones family. It is of interest that the census taker recorded Thelma for mother and daughter instead of Selma. Family members include Brock (64 - married at 37), Selma (51 - married at 24), Darden (24), Brock (22), Mary R. (20), Elijah (19), James C. (17), Selma (15), and William T. (12).

Brock married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Selma Gertrude Rawls, daughter of Elisha Rawls and Mary (Poly) Elizabeth Watkins, about 1903 in Nansemond Co, VA. (Elizabeth (Lizzie) Selma Gertrude Rawls was born in Feb 1879 in Nansemond Co, VA, died on 17 Feb 1945 in Nansemond Co, VA. and was buried in Holy Neck Christian Church Cemetery, Suffolk, VA..)
