The 1810 Federal Census for Isle of Wight Co., Va. records Mathew Daughtrey (45+) with family: 1 male (10-15), 1 male (16-25), 1 female (10-15), 1 female (16-25), 1 female (45+) and 10 slaves. Nearby are Theophius, Absalom, and Richard Daughtrey.

This Mathew appears to have died by the 1820 census. Another Mathew is living in Isle of Wight and is the son of this Mathew's brother, Theophilus.
