Gladys Draper Gunter, age 78, of 2933 Indian Springs Road, Asheboro died Friday, August 3, 2001 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. Gunter was the daughter to the late John and the late Lena (Rivers) Draper. Mrs. Gunter was a native of Patrick County, Virginia. She attended the Harmony Baptist Church in Ramseur, and had retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery. An excellent seamtress, she was known for her love of sewing.
She is survived by her husband M. Leonard Gunter of Asheboro, NC; daughters: Sonja Allred Still of Greensboro, NC and Linda Thomas Moran of Raleigh, NC; son: John Gunter of Asheboro, NC; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 - 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
