Obituary for Ruth Brammer DOUGHTIE, The Roanoke Times, Oct 24, 2005 Mrs. Ruth Brammer Doughtie, 91, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2005. Mrs. Doughtie was a long time member of Preston Parks Baptist Church. Ruth was widowed by the late Nicholas Griffin Doughtie. She is also preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis and Maude Brammer; sisters, Elsie Goode and Irene Wright; brothers, Marvin Brammer, Coy Brammer, F.P. Brammer, and Jack Brammer; niece Mary Ingram. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Ingram, of Danville, Va.; nephews, Carlton Goode and wife, Mildred, of Collinsville, Edward Goode and wife, Reba, of Ferrum, Wayne Wright, of Roanoke, William Brammer and wife, Mary Ellen, of Rocky Mount, David Brammer and wife, Ravenelle, of Roanoke, Kenneth Brammer and wife, Martha, of Aeworth, Ga., Rodney Ingram and wife, Carol, of Jacksonville, Fla.; nieces, Ann Allison and husband, Bob, of Burlington, N.C., Barbara Stoner, of Roanoke, Regina Martin and husband, A.W., of Roanoke, Carolyn Lee and husband, Don, of Silver Spring, Md., Sybil Winesett and husband, Jeff, of Ferrum, Sharon Dunman and husband, Melvin, of Montvale, Lynn Pagans and husband, Stephen, of Rocky Mount, Amber Denny and husband, Tom, of Danville; brother-in-law, Kyle Goode and wife, Geneva, of Ferrum; sister-in-law, Arlene Brammer, of Rocky Mount; and numerous great-nephews and nieces; also a special friend, Don Hairfield, of Roanoke. Oakey's North Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
