Luckenbaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Luckenbaugh, 615 Forrest street. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Geyer Kaufman, 30 North Twenty-eighth street, Penbrook. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman reside at 513 Kelker street. Miss Luckenbaugh is a graduate of William Penn High School and West Chester State Teachers College, and is a physical education teacher at Lower Paxton Township High School. Mr. Kaufman is a graduate of Lower Paxton Township High School and is employed by the State. He served with the 99th Machine Record Unit in Alaska during the war.

Elaine Elizabeth Luckenbaugh Kaufman, 92, of Lower Paxton Twp. and a native of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 16, 2014 in the presence of her loving family. Born on May 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late JC and Amy (Faber) Luckenbaugh. She was a 1940 graduate of William Penn HS and a 1944 graduate of West Chester State Teacher's College. Lucky taught and coached championship basketball at Lower Paxton School from 1944-1949. She continued her role in education as a substitute teacher in the Central Dauphin School District from 1965-1991. Elaine served as Girl Scout leader and taught Sunday School for 21 years at Augsburg Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the Navy Wives, the Plumber's Auxillary, the American Legion Auxillary Post #272, the VFW Auxillary Post #9639, and the Capital City Chapter #146 of the Eastern Star. Mau, as she was known by her grandchildren, enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting, shopping, traveling, cooking, and baking. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Elaine is survived by her husband of 66 years, George G. Kaufman; her daughters, Bonnie Stahl and Debbie Miceli (Ed Maurer); her grandchildren, Heather Ritter, JC Miceli, Ryan Stahl, and Joseph Miceli; and her great granddaughters, Kayla, MacKenzie, and Andie Wyant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Luckenbaugh, and her beloved grandson, Andy Ritter. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2014 from 10-11am at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Londonderry Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17109, with a funeral to begin at 11am, with Rev. James Person officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elaine's name may be offered to Ecumenical Food Pantry, 901 N. 6th St., Harrisburg, PA 17102; or to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
