(22), Charles (17), Wm (12), Frances [female] (11), Robert (9), Sarah (8), Elias (6), Mary (5), Thos (3), and Millard (1). George apparently married Martha ca 1856 so Thomas and Millard are Martha's children while the others are Mary's children. [Mary died in 1855] George has real estate valued at $2,440 and a personal estae valued at $7,000 including 10 slaves. George's son, Granville is listed in the 1860 census: Henry Co., Virginia, page 36, dated July 4, 1860 records Granville (26) and Mary (23) Belcher with a son, George Belcher (3).
The 1870 Federal Census for Leatherwood, Henry Co., Virginia, Martinsville P. O., page 34A, dated July 1, 1870 records George (59) and Martha (45) Belcher with 8 children: Augusta [Sarah?] (19), Elias (18), Mary C. (16), Thomas (12), Millard (10), Julia (8), Cally (4), and Virginia (4).
