The 1900 Federal Census for Little Creek, Franklin Co., Virginia, District 29, page 130B, dated June 11, 1900 records John W. (Jan 1842 - VA/VA/VA) and Julia A. (Dec 1848 - VA/VA/VA) Ashworth with children Mary C. (March 1883), George E. (Aug 1884), Nettie F. (March 1888), and Medea A. (Oct 1889). John and Julia have been married for 33 years and have had 11 children of whom 8 are still living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Baker, Gove Co., Kansas, District 35, page 144B, dated April 29, 1910 records John W. (68 - VA/VA/VA) and Julia A. (60 - VA/VA/VA) Ashworth living with their son and his family: Charles P. Ashworth (40) and his wife Eliza J. (44 - VA/VA/VA) and their children Adra E. (17 - VA), Nancy S. (15 - VA), Julia A. (13 - VA), Elsie R. (11 - VA), Marinda E. (9 - VA), Effie C. (7 - VA), and Ida M. (1 - Kansas). Charles is a Farmer and has been married to Eliza for 18 years. They have had 7 children all of whom are still living.

Ashworth (80 - VA/VA/VA) living with her daughter Nettie P. Crigler (40 - VA/VA/VA) and her husband John Crigler (38 - VA/VA/VA). Also in the household are step children Roy C. Trissel (20 - Ohio/Ohio/VA) and Louis Trissel (15 - Ohio/Ohio/VA). John was first married at age 30 so Nettie was previously married to a Mr. Trissle. Looking abck it appears Nettie was married to a Harvey A. Trissel: The 1910 Federal Census for Lanier, Preble Co., Ohio, District 161, page 121A, dated April 19, 1910 records Nettie F. Trissle (23 - VA/VA/VA) with her husband Harvey A. Trissel (36 - Ohio/ VA/ Ohio) and their son Roy A. Trissel (5/12). They have been married for 1 year.
