George W. Hill

George W. Hill was born in 1840 in Craven County, North Carolina. He had four sons and two daughters with Susan Furndy between 1865 and 1898. He died in 1920 in Craven County, North Carolina, at the age of 80.

The 1880 Federal Census for Township 9, Craven Co., North Carolina, District 44, page 328B, dated June 9, 1880 records George W. (39) and Susan (32) Hill with children John Hill (15), William Hill (7), Alonzo Hill (5), Sarah Hill (4), and Julia Hill (3/12 - March).

The 1870 Federal Census for Township 9, Craven Co., North Carolina, New Bern P. O., page 308B, dated July 22, 1870 records George W. (38) and Susan (25) Hill with children John K. Hill (5) and Sarah L. Hill (3). Next door is George's father, Joseph Hill (68), and his wife Julia Hill (61).

The 1860 Federal Census for Neuse River, Craven Co., North Carolina, Swift Creek P. O., page 126A, dated July 16, 1860 records George (20) with his parents Joseph (63) and Julia (52) Hill and siblings Sarah Hill (25), Robert Hill (16), and William Hill (13).

George married Susan Furndy. (Susan Furndy was born in 1848 in Craven Co., NC.)
