CATHERINE (NOVAK) FAIX
Age 90 of Pleasant Hill Manor Leechburg, where she resided for the past 3 years; formerly of the Logans Ferry section of Plum Boro. Died on Thursday, April 14, 2005; daughter of the late John Novak and Anna Borzava of Mt. Pleasant; mother of William (Kathleen R.) Faix of Plum Boro and Judith A. Olczak of Plum Boro; Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Faix in 1970; brothers, John and Walter Novak; sisters, Victoria Spewock & Josephine Pierce;10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas F. Faix. She was a member of St. Marys of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington, member of the Christian Mothers of the church, lifetime member of the Logans Ferry VFD Auxiliary, Senior Citizens of Plum and the AARP. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crafts, cooking and especially growing her flowers. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the JOHN F. KRUPA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 9 am in St. Marys of Czestchowa Church, New Kensington by the Rev. Richard Karenbauer. Christian Mothers will hold services at 3 pm Sunday in the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
