Marsteller (33 - Maryland/Virginia/Washington DC) as the head of household which includes his parents Edward (sic) H. (60 - VA/VA/VA) and Marie A. (50 - Wahington DC/ DC/DC) Marsteller living at 1723 Shore Road [Parkway]. "Edward" is a retired Naval Officer who has been married to "Marie A." for 35 years and Emlyn is a Family Physician.

The WWI Draft Registration Card for Emlyn Harrison Marsteller dated Sept. 12, 1918 records his date of birth as January 10, 1877. He is currently living with his wife, Elizabeth, on Ocean Avenue in New York and is a Physician. His physical description is tall and slender with grey eyes and [can not read the color] hair.

The 1940 Federal Census for Manassas, Prince William Co., Virginia, District 76-11, page 181A, dated April 23, 1940 records Emlyn H. (61 - VA) and Elizabeth H. A. (52 - VA) Marsteller with their daughter, Nancy Marsteller (18 - VA) living at 339 North Center Street. Emlyn has completed 5 years of college and is employed as a Medical Doctor in Private Practice. Elizabeth and Nancy have completed 4 years of high school.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Emlyn Harrison Marsteller dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as January 10, 1879 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is living with his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth R. S. Marsteller, at 339 Center Avenue, Manassas, Prince William Co., VA. He is working as a self employed M. D. and his physical description is 6' 1", 210 lbs with gray eyes, gray hair and ruddy complexion.

The school is named for Dr. Emlyn Harrison Marsteller, an outstanding physician and country doctor who practiced in the Manassas area from 1920 to 1960. Dr. Marsteller served on the School Board for many years. Marsteller Middle School was dedicated in his memory in 1964.
