The 1930 Federal Census for La Grange City, Troup Co., Georgia, District 10, page 202A taken April 4, 1930 records Fowler A. Kinard (32) with his wife Maril (sic) R. Kinard (30), daughter Dorothy Kinard (1 1/12) and step daughter Murriel Reaves (15) living at 203 McLendon Avenue (appears to be todays Rte 29). Maril reports her age at first marriage at 15 while Fowler at 17. Fowler is a manager at a retail clothing store.

The 1920 Federal Census for Rhine Town, Dodge Co., Georgia, District 10 (Pondtown), page 59A records Murrill (sic) Rebecca Reaves (6 - grand daughter) living with her parents George M. (31 - son) and Maria Rebecca (24 - daughter-in-law) Reaves in the household of the widower James Reaves (65). George is a retail druggist. On either side of James are the families of his sons W. C. (36) and J. A. (40) Reaves.

Obit of Muriel Reaves Adkins reports her father was Thomas Reaves ... He was a Commercial Artist, designed Coke Bottles and Ads.

Muriel Reaves Adkins
Muriel Reaves Adkins, 77, 420 Chadwyck Drive, died Friday night at The Memorial Hospital of Danville.
Born Oct. 31, 1913, in Rhine, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Thomas* Reaves and Rebecca Marie Kinard Reaves.
She was married to Berkley G. Adkins Sr., who survives.
Mrs. Adkins was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and of Class 13 Sunday School Class, and she was an artist in residence. She was also a member of the Wednesday Club.
Survivors in addition to her husband, of the home, include one son, Berkley G. Adkins Jr. of Danville; two daughters, Patricia A. Hawks of South Boston and Judith A. Terry of Blairs; one sister, Dorothy Donlevy of Atlanta; two step brothers, George Reaves and Thomas Reaves, both of Statesboro. Ga.; four grandchildren; and a stepmother.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday from Townes Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Donald Seely. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.

*The father's name, Thomas Reaves, appears to be in error in that census records confirm George Reaves remarries and has 2 sons, George and Thomas ... see general notes on Muriel's father, George M. Reaves.
