Orren is farmer with real estate valued at $400. Next door is Ridley Smith (40) with children Darius Smith (10) and Eugene Smith (6).

The 1860 Federal Census for the Southern Division, Wake Co., NC, Morrisville P.O., page 3A, dated June 6, 1860 records Orrin (38 - NC) and Elizabeth (34 - NC) Smith with children Albert (11), Mary (9), Thadus (6), and Sarah C. (2/12). Orrin is farmer with real estate valued at $628 and a personal estate valued at $4,400. On either side of Orrin are his brothers and their families, Lucius (34) and Rebecca (23) Smith and Ridley Smith (44) with his daughter Laura Smith. Next door to Ridley is his son Darius Smith (26), B. E. Smith [male] (27) and, Maria Smith (21). Orin is farmer with real estate valued at $2,500 and a personal estate valued at $700. Nearby are his brothers and their families, Lucius (34) and Rebecca (23) Smith and Ridley Smith (44).
