The 1920 Federal Census for New Cumberland. Cumberland Co., PA, DIstrict 31, page , dated 1920 records Ira C. Forry (17 - PA/PA/PA) living with an aunt and uncle: In the household are Elizabeth C. Romberger (38 - PA/PA/PA), head of household and indicated as married although no husband is present; Elizabeth's son, Gilbert F. Romberger (12); 2 nieces: Dorothy E. Hale (20) and Elva M. Hale (16); and a sister, Hattie L. Romberger. Hattie is actually Hattie Forry, Ira's sister and Elizabeth is also Ira's sister.

Ira was killed when his truck was struck by a train near where he and Ester lived in Blue Island, Illinois just south of Chicago in Cook County. [This from his grand daughter, Barb Robinson Sterling, in an email dated Feb 21, 2008]
