Laura M. Johnson, 68, of Main Street, Conestoga died Friday morning at her residence. Born in Drumore Township, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Isabel Deaver Tollinger.
Laura was a member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church, the Kutztown Rod & Gun Club, and both the Fleetwood Fire Company and Lyons Fire Company Auxiliaries.
She was retired from Herr's Chips after thirty years of service to the company. She had also been employed as a waitress for the former Robert Fulton Inn.
Surviving are a daughter Sherry D. Brooks of Conestoga and her companion Tim Weaver; two grandsons, Nathan and Devon Weaver; her companion Roger Mumma of Fleetwood; a brother David Tollinger (Jean) of Summerville, SC; four sisters, Martha (Martin) Tsudy of Lancaster, Jean (John) Wingler of Peach Bottom, Sara (Roger) DeForest, Jr. of Coatesville, Dorothy Tollinger of Lancaster; and her grand dog, Casey.
Laura was preceded in death by a sister Grace Ann Kunkel and a brother George Tollinger.
A Memorial service will be held at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2:00PM with Rev. Thomas P. Milligan and Barbara McCardell officiating. A viewing will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM, and there will be a visitation on Thursday from 1:00PM until the time of service at the church. Grace Ann Kunkel, 75, of Lancaster, passed away early Sunday morning [Sept 1, 2013] at the Lancaster General Hospital following a short illness. Born in Little Britain Township, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Isabel Deaver Tollinger and the wife of the late Lavern Kunkel, who passed away in 1987.
A graduate of Solanco High School, she had worked for 16 years with Lancaster General Hospital as a laundry worker and also part time with Fulton Bank. A member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church, she loved listening to Southern Gospel music and playing bingo.
Grace will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Patricia Ann, wife of James Martin of Lancaster and step-son, Vernon, (Wendy) Kunkel of Lancaster, her siblings: Martha, (Martin) Tshudy and Dorothy Tollinger of Lancaster, Laura Johnson, companion of Roger of Conestoga, Jean, (John) Wingler of Peach Bottom, Sara, (Roger) DeForest of Coatesville and David, (Jean) Tollinger of Summersville, SC. …
