(27 - VA) Minter with children Obadiah C. (8), William (5), Valere J. (3), and James L. (5/12). Edward is a farmer with real estate valued at $1,200 and a personal estate valued at $2,800.

The 1880 Federal Census for the Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, District 165, page 78A, dated June 11, 1880 records the widow Tabitha J. Minter (44 - VA/VA/VA) living with her children J. L. Minter (20) and Francis A. Minter (9).

The 1900 Federal Census for the Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, District 70, page 219A, dated June 11, 1900 records the widow Tabitha J. Minter (Sept 1834 - VA/VA/VA) living with her son James Minter (March 1860) and his wife Fannie J. (June 1866) and their children Annie M. (Oct 1883), William D. (Auh 1885), Dora T. (June 1887), James E. (Jan 1889), Lillie C. (July 1892), Sallie K. (July 1894), and Edgar (March 1900). Tabitha indicates that she has had 7 children of whom 5 are still living.
