The 1820 U.S. Census for Henry Co., Virginia, page 856, dated August 7, 1820 records Meredith Allen as the head of household with 1 male (<10), 1 male (10-15), 1 male (16-18), 2 males (16-25), 2 males (> 45),1 female (16-25), 1 female (>45), and 2 slaves. Near by are Robert Allen, Pines Allen, and William Allen.

Meredith Allen son of William <Allen-WmMeck.html> and his first wife, Mary Lewis. He was born 1766 in Lunenburg or Mecklenburg Co., VA. and died November, 1828 in Henry Co. VA.
Meredith married Nancy Cooper, daughter of Thomas Cooper August 9, 1788 in Mecklenburg Co. VA. Nancy born about 1770 in Mecklenburg, Co., VA, and died after June, 1829 Pittslyvania Co. VA.
Meredith removed from VA., to Anson Co. NC., with his brothers, but returned to his native State of VA, where he died.
Children of Meredith and Nancy are:
1. William Allen born 09 June, 1789 married Martha Charlotte Jones December 05, 1811. He died in St Clair Co. MO.
2. Jones Allen born 1790 married Nancy Lewis 08 January, 1810
3. Darling Allen born 1792; died Fayette Co. TN
4. Elizabeth Allen born 1793 married Edward Thomas 13 July, 1812
5. Gilley Allen born 1800 married Henry Lawrence 05 February, 1820
6. Coleman Obediah Allen born 1802 married Frances DeShazo 05 December, 1827
7. Omi Allen born 1806 married Justin Austin
8. Meredith Boneparte born 1809 married Mary Rankins Cox 21 December, 1829

Meredith married Nancy Cooper, daughter of Living and Living, on 9 Aug 1788 in Mecklenburg Co., VA. (Nancy Cooper was born about 1770 and died circa 1855 in Henry Co., VA.)
