If the above is actually "our" Daisey then the following census records apply: The 1910 Federal Census for Bayou La Batre, Mobile Co., Alabama, District 74, page 47A, dated June 7, 1910 records Daisey E. (27 - AL/AL/AL) and Willie E. (25 - AL/AL/AL) Akridge with sons Willie E. Jr. (4) and Lewis F. (2) living next door to Lewis B. Akridge (46 - AL/AL/AL) and family. Willie is a House Carpenter and has been amrried to Daisey for 5 years. They have had 2 children. This is the 1st marriage for William and 2nd for Daisey.
Note in this 1930 census record, Daisey states that her father was born in Virginia. Also, she is named "Daisey E." just as the 1896 Chancery Records above. The 1930 Federal Census for Mobile, Mobile Co., Alabama, District 76, page 47A, dated June 7, 1930 records Daisey E. (49 - AL/VA/AL) and William E. (45 - AL/AL/AL) Akridge with children William E. Jr. (24), Louis F. (22) and daughter-in-law Frances E. Akridge (23), wife of William E. Jr. Willie is a House Carpenter and has been amrried to Daisey for 5 years. They have had 2 children. William Jr is a Bank Teller and has been married for 1 year. Louis is a Book Keeper at a Bank.
The 1940 Federal Census for Mobile, Mobile Co., Alabama, District 49-123A, page 1932A, dated April 6, 1940 records Daisy (59 - AL) and W. E. Sr. (55 - AL) Akridge with their son Louis Fritz Akridge (32 - AL) living at 303 Houston Street. W. E. is a Salesman at a Retail Furniture Store and Louis is a Book Keeper at a Bank.
