Barbara Alice Scoggins, age 68, of Snellville passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Scoggins, and sister, Patricia DeVaux. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and John McDaniel of Alpharetta, Sandy and Ron Lykins of Columbia, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amy Scoggins of Grayson; grandchildren, Matthew, Max, Hannah, Pate, Rebecca, and Brad; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Nancy McMahon of Salem, VA; brother-in-law, Sonny DeVaux of Roanoke, VA; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews; and her beloved pets, Reilly and Greta.

Mrs. Scoggins was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She was very active with her children as youngsters and as adults. She coached softball with her husband, and was a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Scoggins loved being a grandmother and spending time with her precious grandchildren. She retired from Fiserve after many years of service.

A Memorial Service Honoring the Life of Barbara Alice Scoggins will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 4PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Scoggins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 2PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association.
