Nearby is her son, Benjamin F. Trent (30), and his wife Elizabeth (25) and their children Mollie (8), William (5), and Charles (2). Next door is another son, James G. Trent (26) and his wife Matilda (27) and their children Kate (5) and Samuel (3). Nearby is mother-in-law, "Kate" Trent (93-widow).

The 1880 Federal Census for Ridgeway, Henry Co., Virginia District 132, page 124A records Ann E. (58) Trent and her children Eliza C. (27), Sue E. (26), Rufus D. (22), and Robert R. (18). Nearby is her son, John H. Trent (27), and his wife Sallie F. (24) and their daughter Mary Stella (2).
