Captain William Fuller of the Severn. Governor of Maryland In 1654; repealed the Tole ration Act; Member of the Great Council and a Proprietor's deputy (assigned land grants). Ranking officer in Oliver Cromwell's Roundhead Army; Commander in Chief in Indian Wars; Brought settlers to colony of SC.

William Fuller sailed from London to New England aboard the Abigail on April 1635. In 1651 he arrived in Maryland and led Protestant forces. July 1652 he negotiated peace treaty with the Susquehanna Indians. November 25, 1652 was named commander-in-chief of the expedition against the Eastern Shore Indians. In 1654, Member of Lower House Maryland Assembly. William Fuller was Puritan Governor of Maryland.
