Durvian (Petie) Terry Clemons, 82, of Roanoke, died Friday evening, December 4, 2009. Petie was a retired dispatcher from the City of Roanoke and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clara Abshire Terry and her sisters, Eileen Scott, Jean Ann Poff and Libby Cundiff. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Garst Kelley and husband, Harold, of Roanoke, Brenda T. Keith and husband, Gary, of Vinton, Kathy Randolph and husband, Phillip, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Stephanie and Ryan Garst, Dawn Huff, Kimberly Hedrick, Stacey Gunter and husband, Robb, Andy Keith, Patrick Randolph and wife, Paula, Karington Randolph; great-grandchildren, Heather, Rhiannon, Clara and Chase; brother, Robert Henry Terry Jr., of Bedford, and her special feathered friend, Peter Boy. A graveside service will be held in Mountain View Memorial Park, Franklin County, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. The family will receive friends Monday 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.

Christine Elizabeth (Libby) Cundiff, of Wirtz died Saturday, May 6, 2006. She was born in Boones Mill, Va., a daughter of the late Robert H. and Clara Abshire Terry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Buck Cundiff, Jr. and sisters, Eileen Terry Scott and Jean Terry Poff. Libby was owner of Cundiff Trucking/J.B. Cundiff Jr. Contact Hauling and a lifelong member of Boones Mill Church of the Brethren, where she was a loyal member of the choir. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Fred Heatwole; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Kristie Cundiff; grandchildren, Jessica, Kristen, Bethann, Trey, …

Clara married Robert Henry Harrison Terry, son of Benjamin Franklin Terry and Julia Francis Law. (Robert Henry Harrison Terry was born on 19 Sep 1884 in Leatherwood, Henry Co. Virginia and died after 27 Apr 1942.)
