General Notes:
Let me say first that it is not sure that this Nannie B. Adkins is the daughter of Jackson and Elizabeth. It is more likely that this is the wife of the son of Jackson and Elizabeth, Henry. See general notes on Jackson Adkins' wife, Elizabeth, for 1880 and 1900 census facts.
The 1910 Federal Census for Pittsylvania Co., VA, ED#89, Sheet 1B, page 68B, dated April 16, 1910 records Nannie B. Adkins (46) and sons Letcher W. (19) and Walter K. (11) Adkins. One page over is a divorced Henry Adkins (54) who could be Nannie's exhusband. Also near by is another Nannie B. Adkins (42 - VA/VA/VA) who has recently married a Thomas B. Adkins (40 - VA/VA/VA). This is the 2nd marriage for Thomas and 1st for Nannie and they have been married for 2 years. Also in this household are sons Woody W. Adkins (19), Addison G. Adkins (16), Joseph L. Adkins (14), and Thomas C. Adkins (12) as well as the widowed mother-in-law [from his 1st wife] Permelia F. Rigney (61). Next door is Thomas' recently married son, Archie H. Adkins (20) with his wife Della W. Adkins (18). This family is that of Thomas B. Adkins.
Nancy had a relationship with Henry A. Adkins, son of Jackson Adkins and Elizabeth Adkins, circa 1890 in Pittsylvania Co., VA. (Henry A. Adkins was born on 18 May 1859 in Museville, Pittsylvania Co., VA and died after 20 May 1931.)
