The WWI Draft Registration Card for Osie Franklin Daughtrey records his date of birth as May 6, 1887 in Nansemond Co., VA. He is an Oil Salesman with the National Oil Company and is living at 1516 Laurel Avenue in Portsmouth, VA. Osie indicates that he was a private in the infantry for 1 year with the state of Virginia. He is tall awith medium build with blue eyes and light hair. He signs his name Osie Franklin Daughtrey.

The 1920 Federal Census , Virginia, Portsmouth, District 176 records Osie F. (32) and Evie L. (23) Daughtry with son Jospeh E. Daughtry (3 4/12). Osie is a Grocery Store Saleman living at 1908 Elm Avenue. The census was taken January 14, 1920. The Socialk Security Death Index records a Joe E. Daughtrey, born Aug. 23, 1916, dies April 20, 1990 in Williamsburg, James City Co., Virginia. This is the only individual listed that is born the proper date.

The 1930 Federal Census, Virginia, Portsmouth, District 15 records Osie F. (41) and Evie L. (42) Daughtrey with son Joe E. Daughtry (13) still living at 1908 Elm Avenue. Osie is now an Oil Salesman.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Osie Franklin Daughtrey [the form is not dated but most others are dated April 27, 1942] lists his date of birth as May 6, 1887 in Nansemond Co., VA. He is living with his wife, Mrs. O. F. Daughtrey, at 2204 Altantic & Portsmouth in Norfolk, VA. He is employed as a Commision Agent for the American Oil Company and his physical description is 6' , 175 lbs with blue eyes, brown hair and ruddy complexion. He signs his name Osie Franklin Daughtrey.

Osie married Evie Lillian McClenney on 11 Oct 1908 in Southampton Co., Virginia. (Evie Lillian McClenney was born on 6 Aug 1886 in Virginia and died on 26 May 1966 in Norfolk City, VA.)
