Deford (Sept 1889) living with her parents James (Feb 1849 - VA/VA/VA) and Arrilla (Nov 1848 - NC/NC/NC) Deford and siblings Ella (Dec 1876 - VA), James H. (Nov 1882 - VA), and Lawrence B. (April 1884 - VA). James and Arrilla have been married for 30 years and have had 9 children of whom 4 are still living. This is a likely maiden name for Evie ... but more research is needed to confirm this.

( 61- VA/VA/VA) and Arrilla (61 - NC/NC/NC) Deford with children James (26 - VA), Clarence B. (24 - VA), and Eva (20). James and Arrilla have been married for 40 years and have had 9 children of whom 4 are still living. Also in the household is Belle Deford (27), married to James Deford (26).

The 1880 Federal Census for Cypress, Nansemond Co., VA, Distrcit 53 records Benj (31 - VA/VA/VA) and Arrilla (31 - VA/VA/VA) Deford (indexed as Jirilla at ancestry.com) with children Virginia (6) and Leonard Lee (2).

Evie married Osie Franklin Daughtrey, son of Mathew W. Daughtrey and Mary E. Carr, on 11 Oct 1908 in Southampton Co., Virginia. (Osie Franklin Daughtrey was born on 6 May 1887 in Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA. and died on 1 Mar 1950 in Norfolk City, VA.)
