John and Martha have been married 4 years and have had 2 children of which 2 are still living. John is a farmer. They are next door to John Nunn's mother-in-law, Denaiva [Drucilla] Hurd (March 1839-widow), with her children Posey L. (Dec 1877) and Thomas J. (April 1883). Next door to Drucilla is her son Benjamin F. Stone (March 1856) with wife Julia F. (Sept 1857) and children Harry R. (Nov 1879), Ida (Jan 1881), Bertha (Jan 1891), Solomon (May 1893), Effen (Feb 1895), and Posey H. (Oct 1898).

The 1910 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., VA, District 70, page 134B, dated April 25, 1910 records John W. (36) and Mortha (sic) J. (34) Nunn (sic) with children Majessie (12), Lucy E. (10), Ethel H. (8), Drucilla P. (4), and Harvey D. (3/12) living on North Franklin Street. John and Martha have been married 13 years and have had 5 children of which 5 are still living. John is employed as what looks to be an Inspector at a Spoke & Hub Factory.

The 1920 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., VA, District 116, page 208A, dated January 26, 1920 records John (46) and Martha J. (44) Nunn (indexed as Nellen at ancestry.com) with children Drucilla (13), and Eleanor (5) living on Moss Street (near Cleveland and Church Streets). John is employed as a Woodworker at a Furniture Factory.

John married Martha Jane Hurd, daughter of Garner C. Hurd and Drucilla Price Davis, circa 1895 in Henry Co, VA. (Martha Jane Hurd was born in Oct 1875 in Henry Co, VA and died circa 1921 in Martinsville, Henry Co, Virginia.)
