The 1920 Federal Census for Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington, District 185, page 200A records Jay C. (43 - Minnesota/Missouri/Missouri) and Rose (37 - Missouri/Missouri/Missouri) Williams with children James B. (7 - Washington), Robert (6 - Washington), and Suzanne (3 0/12 - Washington) living at 735 13th Ave. Jay is an Auditor for the Railroad.

The 1930 Federal Census for Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington, District 98, page 200A records J. Carl (53 - Minnesota/Minesota/Missouri) and Rose (47 - Missouri/Missouri/Missouri) Williams with children James (18), Robert J. (16), and Suzanne (14) living at 735 13th Ave. Carl is a Secretary for the Railroad and has been married to Rose for 21 years.

It is of interest that the 1910 census records Jay C. Williams born in Minnesota with his father in Illinois and mother in Missouri while Rose is born in Missouri with her father in Iowa and mother in Missouri. Then the 1920 census records Jay C. Williams born in Minnesota with his father and mother in Missouri while Rose is born in Missouri with her father and mother in Missouri. Lastly, the 1930 census records Jay C. Williams born in Minnesota with his father in Minnesota and mother in Missouri while Rose is born in Missouri with her father and mother in Missouri.

In researching Jay Carl Williams' parents, the census records yield the likely candidates to be Abraham and Harriet F. Williams: The 1900 Federal Census for Nosler, Spokane Co., Washington, District 49, page 200A records A. (Sept 1843) and Harriet F. (Jan 1851) Williams with children Orton A. (Oct 1879 - Minn), B. Frank (June 1881 - Minn), Cecil C. (Oct 1886 - Wash), and Ralph W. (Nov. 1892 - Wash). The family obviously moved to the State of Washington around 1885. A. Williams was born in Illinois with parents in Ohio while Harriet was born in Missouri with parents in Maryland and Virginia.
The 1880 United States Federal Census for Minnesota, McLeod Co., Hale, District 78, page 42A records Abraham D. (36) and Hallie F. (29) Williams with children Gracie (9), Tressa (6), Mande (5), Carl (3), Walter A. (1), and Orton A. (Oct 1879). Abraham is in Lumber Manufacturing and born in Illinois (parents in Ky and Ohio). Hallie is born in Missouri with parents in Maryland and Virginia.
Also of note: The 1870 United States Federal Census for Minnesota, McLeod Co., Hale, page 5 records Abraham (26 - Illinois) and Harriet (19 - Missouri) Williams with no children. Next door is Ester Williams (60 - Ohio) with children John (21) and Louisa J. (18), both born in Illinois. Ester is most probably Abraham's mother. Next door to Ester is Eusebius Williams (23 - Illinois) with his wife Anna (28 - Illinois) and children Ada (2 - Minn) and Ulrich (4/12 - Minn).

Williams and they live at 735 13th Street in Spokane. Jay is medium height with stout build. He has blue eyes and light brown hair.
